Buying a Lower Receiver / Firearm Online
- Add your selected firearm(s) to your shopping cart and check out. The firearm(s) will not be reserved until payment and a signed copy of a dealer’s FFL have been received.
- Choose a local Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer / FFL that will accept the firearm and complete the transfer.
- You or your FFL Dealer will need to send us a copy of the FFL Dealer's license with your Name and Special Ops Tactical order number written on it by fax or email. After we ship your order you will pick up your firearm from the FFL Dealer (who will do a background check). Transfer fees may apply.
Buying Firearms on the Internet
Federal law requires firearms to be shipped to FFL Dealers. For an individual to receive a firearm from Special Ops Tactical it must be shipped to an FFL Dealer in your state. You can pick up the firearm from the local FFL Dealer of your choice. Also, you will need to find an FFL Dealer that will accept the firearm and complete the required paperwork for you.
Locating a Federal-Firearm License Dealer (FFL) in Your Area
There are thousands of FFL Dealers in the United States. An FFL Dealer will usually charge a fee to conduct the transfer. There are duties that the FFL Dealer is required to do during the process. Remember, the FFL Dealer is doing you a favor and the process takes time to complete. Fees can vary so check with the FFL Dealer before submitting your order. The FFL Dealer is in business to make a profit and your internet purchase may be viewed as competition to their retail business. If you feel the fees are too high, then you can search for another FFL Dealer.
Completing the Transaction
Once you place the firearm in your cart and checkout you will receive a confirmation email that has your order number and instructions. You are required to find a FFL Dealer in your area, and either you or the FFL Dealer must send us a copy of the Federal Firearms License (along with Special Ops Tactical's issued order number and customer name). We will confirm the license and make the FFL Dealer aware that a fulfillment order from Special Ops will soon be shipping out for you. Orders are usually shipped the within 48 hours after we receive the FFL license and FFL Dealer information (with the order number and name). Your firearm will arrive at the FFL Dealer in a few days, but the FFL Dealer will need to process the shipment. It may be an additional day or so before the FFL Dealer is ready to conduct the transfer of the firearm to you. Call the FFL Dealer and set an appointment to confirm that the firearm is ready to be transferred.
Thank You, Special Ops Tactical
